RALLY IN FRONT OF THE UN HEADQUARTERS AND APPEAL TO THE UN

An event, organized jointly by the Council of United Circassia and the Circassian Center in the USA (Head Marianne Sheru), held in front of the UN headquarters on the occasion of the 160th anniversary of the Circassian Genocide. The commemorative event was attended by Circassians from all over the USA, as well as Kalmyk, Tatar and Buryat representatives of the Free Nations League organization. A letter requesting recognition of the genocide, prepared by the Council of United Circassia, was tried to be handed over to UN officials. United Nations officials did not receive the letter as per procedure and it was later sent by email. The letter can be found below.
